What is the shipping process and how long does it take?
Once orders have been packed, collection by the local courier (Royal Mail) will be arranged. Collection is always arranged for the next morning after packing of your mystery box. The time it takes to get to you after being collected will vary depending on what country you are from, but Royal Mail states that it typically takes:

1-2 business days for UK orders

3-5 business days for Europe

5-10 business days for all other countries
What determines shipping cost?
Shipping costs are based entirely on the shipping rates given for certain weights and countries by the courier I use, Royal Mail. Shipping costs are intended only for covering the charge by Royal Mail and not for profit.
Shipping costs for orders from the USA are slightly raised due to additional import tariffs.
Please be aware that for some countries, an extra customs charge may need to be paid to receive your parcel. This customs charge is not included in the shipping price and will need to be paid separately. Animal Scoops UK is not responsible for paying any customs fees. Please make sure you look into whether this may be a possibility before ordering.
What happens if my parcel is returned to Animal Scoops UK?
Sometimes parcels will be returned to Animal Scoops UK for reasons such as incorrect address, customs fees not being paid, no one being at the address to receive the parcel, and other reasons.
If an order is returned due to the error of Animal Scoops UK, i.e. entering the delivery address incorrectly/differently than the one provided, your order will be sent to you again free of charge.
However, if the parcel is returned due to:

Incorrect/non-existing delivery address being provided by the customer

Customer failing to pay customs fees

Customer failing to receive the parcel for any reason
You will be contacted via email and asked whether you would like to have your order shipped again or for the order to be refunded (minus the shipping fee originally paid). If you would like the order to be reshipped, you will need to pay the original shipping fee again before it is resent.
To avoid a parcel being returned to Animal Scoops UK, please:

Ensure the delivery address is correct before paying

Add a safe space for the parcel to be left in the additional comments section of the checkout if there is a chance you will not be in when the parcel gets to you, this will be added when arranging collection

Double check and be aware if there may be additional customs fees

Check the tracking number sent to you via email regularly to keep up to date with the status of your order
